Are you passionate about turning data into trusted insights? We’re looking for a Data Quality Specialist to help us elevate the integrity and reliability of our data across the business.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and implementing robust data quality frameworks that ensure our critical business data is accurate, complete, timely, and fit for purpose. You’ll collaborate across teams—from data owners and stewards to engineers and compliance experts—to drive data excellence and support our governance strategy.
This is a hybrid role with some presence required at our Bournemouth office. This role is a Fixed Term Contract for an initial 6 months.
About You
Essential:
•Proven experience in data quality management, analysis, and governance, preferably within financial services.
•Strong skills in data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
•Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python, PySpark, or data wrangling tools.
•Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Fabric/Azure, Databricks, or Google cloud.
•Understanding of data regulations such as UK GDPR and Data Protection 2018.
Desirable:
•Experience with real-time or streaming data environments.
•Knowledge of data lineage, metadata management, and modern architectures like data mesh or lakehouse.
•Supporting the development and value of a single customer view.
•Familiarity with governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM.
The Details
•Build, automate and roll out data quality rules, validations, and metrics across key domains like customer, product, transaction, and finance.
•Lead data profiling and root cause analysis to uncover issues and drive improvements.
•Partner with stakeholders to define business rules and embed quality standards into our data ecosystem.
•Maintain dashboards and reports that spotlight trends, anomalies, and KPIs.
•Support regulatory and compliance efforts by ensuring data meets internal and external standards.
•Help deploy and optimise data quality tools
•Work with engineering teams to embed quality checks into pipelines and real-time processes.
•Provide training and guidance to business and technical teams on data quality best practices.
