We have a fantastic new opportunity for a self-motivated, creative, and highly-organised individual to join our existing, expert team as a Communications Assistant.
Within this exciting role, you will proactively contribute to the successful delivery of our communications activity, including projects and campaigns, to engage audiences and support business objectives.
Your role will be key in aiding the Corporate Communications team with creating, coordinating and delivering engaging content and campaigns across internal and external channels. You’ll help to organise our internal events, become involved in projects, expand your knowledge and bring your creative ideas to the team. Importantly, you’ll be people-focused, with an understanding that as a mutual, our work will always prioritise our customers and their experience with LV=.
We offer the role on a hybrid working model, with attendance at the Bournemouth office required for 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of internal communications plans and campaigns.
- Assisting in the creation and coordination of content for our communications channels, including our intranet, newsletters, and other digital platforms such as social media.
- Helping to maintain and update key communications platforms, such as the colleague intranet.
- Drafting communications for internal and external audiences, ensuring they are well-written and suitable for the intended audience and purpose.
- Assisting with the organisation of events, awards ceremonies, and campaigns.
- Supporting the coordination of press releases, media enquiries, and coverage tracking.
- Working within our framework to monitor channels and manage enquiries effectively.
- Supporting the team in evaluating and reporting the effectiveness of activities and campaigns.
- Building excellent relationships and working with colleagues across the business to support on the delivery of communications activities.
- Providing general administrative support as required.
About You
Our ideal candidate will...
- Possess previous experience (or a demonstrable interest in) internal communications, PR, and/or copywriting.
- Be a keen writer with a strong understanding of the English language and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Produce high-quality work, pay attention to detail and ensure that information used within your work is accurate.
- Demonstrate fantastic organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and efficiently meet deadlines.
- Competently work as part of a team, contribute ideas, be happy to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships.
- Showcase a genuine willingness to learn and enhance your skills.
- Have strong knowledge of using (or proactively learn and utilise) digital channels and tools (e.g. intranet, social media, Canva).
- Possess the ability to think and work creatively, while always considering and implementing the LV= tone of voice and brand guidelines.
- Have experience of producing a range of content, including social media posts, articles and videos (desirable but not essential).
- Have used Canva (or similar), content management systems, and email platforms (desirable but not essential).
